Use with elders you're meeting for the first time.

The formal apology. 미안해요 is the everyday one, 미안해 the one for close friends.
잘 부탁드립니다

Please take care of me
Roughly 'I look forward to your kindness.'
한국어를 배우고 있어요

I'm learning Korean
-고 있다 = ongoing — right now, or these days. 배우다 = to learn.
한국어를 잘 못해요
hangugeoreul jal motaeyo
I can't speak Korean well yet
Pairs well with 'please speak slowly'.
만나서 반가워요

Nice to meet you (friendly)
반갑다 → 반가워요 is a ㅂ irregular, the same family as 덥다 → 더워요.
이쪽은 제 친구예요
ijjogeun je chinguyeyo
This is my friend
이쪽 = 'this side', and it is how Korean politely points at a person.
저도 반가워요
jeodo bangawoyo
Nice to meet you too
저도 = me too. 도 replaces the subject particle rather than sitting next to it.
앞으로 잘 지내요
apeuro jal jinaeyo
Let's get on well
앞으로 = from now on. 지내다 = to get along, to spend time.
